
Strangely enough, it was a trip through the United States and Mexico that inspired bartender Seb Costello to open a bar focused on all things Australian. When Bad Frankie opened in 2014, there were around 20 distilleries in the country – a number that’s since grown to over 250. Seb chats to Living Proof’s Nicole Haack and Marcus Motteram about what it’s been like to be at the coalface of the insurgence, the importance of building a community around the bar and his favourite jaffle recipe.
